Sponsorship applications will be processed in the order of reception of the donations. We will contact you should your chosen bench be unavailable.
Can I donate without sponsoring a bench?
You can support the restoration of ‘donor benches’. Every donation helps with the implementation of the project. To contribute to this collective effort, you can visit the museum’s online donation platform and donate an amount of your choosing. You will receive a donation receipt and a donation certificate.
How do I know if the Louvre has received my donation?
When you make your donation online with a bank card, the Louvre sends an email confirming that your donation has been received. When you make your donation by cheque or bank transfer, a confirmation letter and a donation receipt will be sent to your email address or your physical address once the Musée du Louvre’s Accounting Agency has received your payment. The number of donations being processed can delay the sending of your confirmation letter and donation receipt by several weeks.
When will I receive my donation receipt?
If you make your donation by bank card, your donation receipt will be created automatically and emailed to you on the day following the transaction.
If you make your donation by cheque or bank transfer, your donation receipt will be created once your payment has been received.
Can we sponsor a bench as a group?
If you wish to sponsor a bench as a group, please contact us directly at tousmecenes@louvre.fr or +33 (0)1 40 20 67 67 to make a request. This will allow us to process all of your group’s donations together and create donation receipts accordingly. We will then guide you through the sponsorship process using the interactive map available on the Adopt a bench page.
Why has the Louvre undertaken a project in the Tuileries?
Since 2005, the Louvre has been in charge of the management and development of the Tuileries Garden. Our gardeners are dedicated to bringing the Garden to life and making it more accessible, in coordination with the museum’s events and exhibitions. The aim of the project this sponsorship campaign supports is to improve the experience of Tuileries Garden visitors.
Why should I adopt a bench?

The benches will be restored and installed by autumn 2025. You will be able to view your sponsored bench at the inauguration reception scheduled for this period.
How long will my sponsorship last?
Your sponsorship will last 10 years from the day your plaque is installed.
How do I dedicate my donation to someone?
When you make a donation on the museum’s secure payment platform, you can tick the ‘dedicate my donation to’ box and enter the person’s first name and last name. You may also request a donation certificate in the name of the person of your choosing. However, the invitation to the inauguration reception, sent to you in appreciation of your generosity, is strictly personal.
